JUNGLE
SAFARI
(Adventure in
the wilderness)

While
the mountains of the north have
some of the highest and
the most magnificent peaks in
the world, the tropical jungles
of the Terai preserve some of
the best wildlife habitat in the
subcontinent. Some of these rich
wildlife habitats are now protected,
and can be toured on elephant
back, dugout canoe or on foot
by a licensed jungle guide. Altogether,
Nepal has 16 national parks, wildlife
reserves and conservation areas,
occupying 16% of its total geographical
area.
Chitwan National Park (2 Night
3 Days)
CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
Among the national parks,
Royal Chitwan National Park (a
world natural site declared by
UNESCO) is the most popular safari
destination spreading in the area
of 932 sq. km. The major attractions
of the park are one- horned rhinoceros,
royal Bengal tiger, Leopard, spotted
deer, sloth bear, four horned
antelope, gangetic dolphin and
crocodile. The diverse ecology
is a home to around 600 plant
species, 56 mammal's species,
126 species of fish, 47 species
of reptiles, 526 bird's species
and 49 species of amphibians and
reptiles. A recent study also
points out that over a third of
Nepal's tiger are in Chitwan.
Sal trees (shorea robusta) and
11m tall elephant grass dominate
the jungle. One can explore the
wild world by foot, jeep drive,
and dugout canoe or elephant back.
The best time to visit Chitwan
is from October through February,
when the temperature averages
25 degree Celsius. The month of
March, April and June can be extremely
hot, while July- September is
the monsoon season when rivers
swell and parts of the national
park are inaccessible. We have
made a special 2night 3 days package
tour to Royal Chitwan National
Park. A tour guide and jungle
guide is accompanied during this
trip in order to explain about
the flora and fauna, and escort
you in the jungle world. We a ccommodate
our guest inside the deep forest
in tents or huts according to
the guest's desire. The following
given itinerary gives you vivid
information about the general
program we do in Royal Chitwan
National Park.

KOSHI TAPPU WILD
LIFE RESERVE
Today, Koshi Tappu is famous for
wild buffalo and has become a paradise
for the birdwatcher. Located in
Saptari and Sunsari district in
eastern Nepal, the reserve's area
(175 Sq.km.) is defined by the eastern
and western embankments of the Koshi
River. In 1976, the reserve was
established basically to preserve
the habitat of the remaining population
of wild buffalo, locally known
as Arna, in Nepal.
BARDIA NATIONAL PARK
Approximately 450 km from Kathmandu,
is spread over 968 sq.km and located
in the western Nepal Terai. It
is easily the largest and least
disturbed wilderness spread in
the Terai, and is predominantly
Sal forest sprinkled with tall
grasslands. It is here that your
chances of spotting a tiger in
Nepal are the highest. Other animals
include the rhinoceros, swamp
deer, leopards, jungle cats, blue
bulls, sloth bears, barking deer
and langurs. There are a few wild
elephants, and one of the males
is considered the largest in Asia
! The Geruwa river that rushes
in through a break in the hill
range, is home to the famous mahseer
game fish, gharial- mugger crocodile
and the freshwater gangetic dolphin.
